There will be programs for both road and mountain bikes. So for anyone who is interested, feel free to ride just road bikes or just mountain bikes or you can split it up and do a little of both.

If I sleep in my tent, can I reserve cabin space for my bike and at what cost? Hopefully work will allow me to get down there for the entire weekend!

We are thinking of making a bike corral in the largest cabin to safeguard our bikes. This is a real concern due to the cost of bikes nowadays.
For an extra fee, your bike can have the bed and you can take the floor! Haha!

Why would I have to pay for something that already occurs on a daily basis ;D

I talked to a lot of you this past weekend that were interested in the Spring Training camp. Please register early so that we can manage the cabins, get the correct amount of food for the cookout, etc. We are going to have a lot of great activities as well as a lot of coaching available, so get it on your calendar and join us in what we hope will be a yearly event. Check out all the info here: clevetriclub.com/2010-spring-training-camp.htmlHope to see your registration so you don't miss out on a unique event for the CTC!

Is there a max number you are taking? I need to check schedule once I return from Vermont. Now that ski season is thawing I can switch gears to tri season.

Debbie, space is not an issue at this time. Right now, the more, the merrier! However, it is important that we get the registrations in here in advance so that the club can plan accordingly.

I think that I am in, just had a question about the cabins. Is this a cram as many people into one room or a single room situation. I would be up for sharing a room (I can sleep on the floor if need be) to make it not $50/ night.

Julia,
We are reserving a 15 person cabin that is divided into two sleeping sections. Guys & Girls or whatever is agreed upon. It has a kitchen and bathroom (no outhouses!). The cost will be divided among the occupants. If we are full to capacity, it is the cheapest for all.
It will be the focal point for the day's activities. Food and meeting place.
The idea is to fill it up and make it cost effective for all! That is why we are having everyone pre-register so we can coordinate this part of the weekend.
Glad you are thinking of coming! It will be a great opportunity to get better and learn new skills.

Thank you Tim, I will send in my form ASAP. What an amazing opportunity and such a pretty place to be working out!
One last thing, I would like to do one road ride and one MTB ride...can I bring both bikes or is this a space issue?

Several of us will be bringing both as well. Especially Janet and I who will be switching off leading the groups. I can lock my bikes to the car so space is not an issue for me. I anticipate enough room in the cabin for a bike corral.

Anybody thinking of going to the training camp, please let us know and send in the deposit. We are determining the amount of cabins that need to be rented and starting to make decisions about logistics so we need to know sooner rather than later who is going. Right now we have nine confirmed and five maybes. Don't miss out on a great time!
Believe me, training camps are a lot of fun and a great workout. You will not be disappointed!!

okay, back from Vermont and snow is thawing and appears its time to switch gears. I think I'll be in for the camp. I have to recheck schedule again. If we are getting cheepest lodging that sounds good for me.

What date is the pre-registration deadline? Since I have two little ones at home, I am thinking of joining for the Saturday session only.

Martha,
This weekend is the cutoff date for registration. Then we will tabulate who is going and divide up the cabin rental equally. I will be posting all this later on today so everyone knows where they stand.
You are more than welcome to come out for the day. Saturday will be chock full of activities so it will be a great time.
The roads around Mohican are beautiful and challenging as are the trails. Hope you decide to join us!

Hey everyone, Thanks to everyone who has signed up for the training camp so far! As of right now we have 17 people signed up with 14 staying in the cabin. (This is including Debbie who said she is coming but did not confirm yet.) There is room for one more in the cabin! If you are interested, you must confirm by March 20th your intentions! After that, you are on your own for accomodations. $20 fee would still apply. After the 20th, we will divide up the cabin rental costs and you have until the 31st of March to submit the cabin fee. I will post the amount on the forum after the final head count is confirmed. Right now it is less than $50 per person for the entire weekend (2 nights) in the cabin. Preparations are underway and it will be a great weekend. We have picked out some great road, MTB, and running routes for the weekend! You will not be disappointed by the beauty or the terrain. Attached is the schedule for the weekend. Attachments:

Here are a few links for the venue we are going to have the camp at. One is for directions to the cabin / camp. Another is a general map of the state park and the other is the Mountain bike Trails.
Enjoy!
