Great camp - great food and great people and only a little snoring packing 15 peope into the "Chuck Wagon Cabin". The workouts were really fun and challenging and getting lost on the bike was just part of the good times. People seemed to get a lot out of the coaching and there was no pressure to beat yourself up if you wanted to go a little easier - but of course I chased the fast people and got thrashed (thanks Tim, Brandon and Janet) and have the sore muscles to prove it. I didn't see the unicycle training on the schedule or the world's largest jar of peanut butter but those were just bonus items I guess? The only casualty is a shoe I seem to have left behind in the cabin ... so I guess this is a real Cinderalla story! Has anyone seen my shoe?

Haha...oh Cinderella I have your shoe and maybe your (I think it is a Banff one) hat. Shoot me an email (janet_e1@yahoo.com) and either let me know your address or you can pick it up downtown at my office! If anyone found a green north face fleece, my friend Emily thinks she left it there.
Thanks to everyone that came out to the camp! Hopefully everyone learned something. Wonder how many of you are enjoying the day off?
Definitely would like to hear more feedback (good, bad, what we can improve, what else you would like to see in the future, etc. ) and if you would prefer to send it by email, you can direct it to clevetriclub@yahoo.com. CTC Training Camp #1 in the books and this looked to be a huge hit. Already looking forward to next year!
So here are my camp random comments! • I kidnapped my mother for a shopping trip that would overwhelm any car. My mother had no idea what she was getting into when I said I needed to pick up a few things for the club camp. Thank goodness it was all going down to camp in an RV! • There is a reason why triathletes all have vehicles with a lot of storage. And holy crap can we pack a lot of stuff! • Fire, beer and conversation = a very good time • That was a big bathroom but a small cabin for so many adults! • Flips flops apparently are not a good choice for warm-up shoes but they did great for longer than expected (way to go Julia!) • Yes, my new mtn bike rules and the Mohican Mountain bike trails are SO much fun even when trying to not slow Todd down too much! Oh and as a bonus, who needs maps when you have well marked mountain bike trails! • Don’t ask about going to the bathroom at transition. • You can learn a lot from swim video analysis, including who slept through it! • Don’t hide ice cream sandwiches from Tiffany • You can fit a lot of people in a small cabin! • Is there something wrong when you first meet someone and you ask if they want to share a bed? • Only so much food can sit on one table. • Did I mention Mohican is hilly? But oh do hilly park roads make for such beautiful road rides! • Craig is part pyro. • Who knew CTC was teaching unicycling at camp? • Watching newbies learn unicycling is VERY FUNNY! • Hot tubs RULE! • Mapmyride turn by turn lies. • 20 or 30 degrees more would have been nice, but who needs that when you’re tough and you have other peeps around to train with! • Thought the weekend’s workouts were over until I got home and started unloading the rv! • Major props to “There’s no need to fear, underdog Tim is here!” for coordinating camp details! • Nothing beats a weekend full of food, good people, lots of training, lots of learning and gorgeous scenery!
Thanks for coming out!

You can't forget the best swim analysis: Joe snoozing in the pool's lounge chair!

Training camp was awesome. Thank you everyone who made it all happen, and all the great people that came out. I just joined CTC last month, and coming to this made me glad I did. I didn't really know anyone, other than from facebook, and from seeing some people out at races. I think Janet's at every race I've ever been to. Coming out of it, I have made some new friends, learned alot about Triathlon stuff. I've never done one. Great company, food was delicious. The only bad thing is I froze I disagree off in the tent. I didn't think I needed my winter sleeping bag in april. Ohio huh!! I'm looking forward to the next one.

Janet, I saw a green fleece hanging on the hook on the back of the door, in the handicap stall, in the ladies bathroom, in the pool house (d**n - that's an ugly "sentence" with too many qualifiers!)... I wasn't sure if it was "ours" or someone else staying at Mohican Adventures ... so, maybe call them and inquire about it. Sorry - in hind sight I wish I'd grabbed it.
And yes, thank you for finally finding those d**n GOOD ice cream sandwiches for me ... I was getting pissy after I was convinced the package was LYING about containing those damned sandwiches!!!!
Thanks for everything guys! It was a really nice time as we all snugged up in the CHUCK WAGON!!

The weekend was loads of fun! The road ride on Saturday was crazy challenging which made the Sunday ride while longer so much easier; the mountain runs were WOW and new to me and now I’m hooked! Not to exclude anyone but a special thanks to Tim and Janet and their words of wisdom and encouragement; to Todd for supporting my inability to remove my bike tire by also being unable to remove my bike tire; Mindy for selflessly being Johnny-on-the-spot in the kitchen while preparing for the Mohican Forget the PR; to Brandon for keeping tabs on us on the bike courses; to Susan and the gals for being great roommates; Julia for her terrific French press coffee; Mike for “Tri”ing for TnT (http://pages.teamintraining.org/noh/wildtri10/mrosenbh2f)
Good luck everyone and hope to see you soon.

Where are some pic's. I need to see who was wearing a 2009 Bike MS shirt, blue shorts with white stripes. I found them under the couch while cleaning up.

What a blast! I had a a ton of fun at camp. I'm very happy to have been in the company of great people, great landscape, and great activities all weekend. I was a little skeptical of camping with 15 strangers in a "Chuck-Wagon" for 2 days, but it eneded up a fantastic couple of days. Thank you to everyone for putting it together and making it happen! I look forward to seeing everyone again and can only imagine what kind of fun adventures are in store!

Wow...what a great weekend! I had a ton of fun. Met some great new folks and got to catch up with some familiar ones. Got to ride some tough hills and got to ride a scenic road along the bottom of the Mohican River Valley. I learned how to convert my Cervelo into a single speed on the side of the road and how to pee without getting my cycling shoes soaking wet (use the port-o-pew!). I realized that my dream of joining the circus will not involve riding a unicycle and that tents come with stakes for a reason. I got to run the Mohican trails that I've heard so much about from my mountain biking friends. Speaking of mountain bikes....maybe I need one of those. I now know that the chuck wagon is where triathletes take giant steps towards meeting their goals in the sport while having a good time along the way. My advice for next year is not to rely on me to open a bottle of wine and that WE SHOULD GO BACK....maybe twice Tim and Janet, you two deserve a big pat on the back for organizing the weekend.

Thanks for a great weekend. The food, clinics and organization were all awesome. It was nice to get to know more club members! The variety in training options was very much appreciated as well.
