The Cleveland Heights Bicycle Coalition (CHBC) NEEDS VOLUNTEERS who can help collect bicycle commuting data in early September. The data collected will help inform bike infrastructure in Northeast Ohio...yes, this is part of the process for creating more bike lanes and other bike friendly designs. The job is easy, we need people who can volunteer for 2 hours at least twice in one week to count bikes at specific intersections. The data collected will be used by the the State of Ohio Department of Transportation, the Northeast Ohio Areawide Coordinating Agency (NOACA) and the City of Cleveland Heights Planning Department. Feel free to post any questions here or e-mail me at Henneman<at>shakerlakes<dot>org You can also find more info on the CHBC's website www.bikesintheheights.orgNote: The CHBC is primarily focused on doing bike counts in Cleveland Heights, but NOACA is conducting bike counts across 7 counties in Northeast Ohio. Even if you cannot volunteer in the Cleveland Heights area we can connect you with an opportunity on your side of town.
