I sure hope not! I'm feeling like I just have to plan around the weather and go with it..for instance today I *should* run but since it's relatively nice I figure I might as well ride as I don't mind running in the rain.

I don't really like the rain. But, the kale on my back porch loves it.
The upside of riding in the rain is that if it rains during a race (which it will, someday) you'll be accustomed to it. Triathletes suck at bike handling when it's dry....so I recommend that we all ride in the rain at least once this week so we realize how much more our bike handling skills suck in the rain.

Speak for yourself Brandon...I like to think my bike handling skills are pretty decent. I did the Westlake crit in the rain.
Kale on your back porch. How easy is it to grow that? Where did you buy your plant?

I have to admit, I often reschedule weekday rides around the weather....hope to get a ride in today after work! But the key ride is pretty well set in stone, rain or shine. And bike handling is more challenging in the rain and it is advisable to practice. I bet Eric has ridden in the rain a few times in training over the years. Mike, you'll know you've begun long course training when your long rides begin to get you caught in rainstorms multiple times each year.
Eric, I sent you a FB message about the Kale. This is the first year we have grown it in pots and it seems to be doing fine in the 1 gallon size. We also have some in a "window planter" and I think it likes the pots better. Perhaps we'll go back to field greens in the planter. The Kale is more of a fall crop....you could plant some seeds in late summer (I bought plugs at our plant sale fundraiser here at work). You can harvest the Kale into early winter, knocking the snow off as you harvest :-)
