Weather looks favorable for tomorrow so we are on. If there is some spotty sprinkles remaining, still plan to come as they should be moving out early on.
Start Location: Pepper Pike Store 30679 Pinetree Road Pepper Pike, Ohio 44124
There is plenty of parking in the lots surrounding the store. Plan to arrive by 8:45 to get ready to ride, pump up tires, etc.
Heading out at 9AM sharp from the store front.
Plan is to head out east down 87 to Chagrin River Road. North to the only big climb of the day up Old Mill W. Left onto Gates Mill Blvd (8.5 miles in) where we will start some short TT efforts on a 2.5 mile loop between Old Mill and the 91 circle.
On these 2.5 mile loops, we will break up into groups and everyone will have the opportunity to get in some speed work, yet not have to worry about getting dropped. Additionally, newer riders are welcome to just ride easy around the loop. This should be a good workout for all.
After some work around the circle we will ride the 5 miles back down Gates Mills to Lander.
Plan to ride 1.5 hours and be back to Fleet at 10:30.
Feel free to call or email with questions.

After a couple of months off of my bike I'm REALLY looking forward to getting out to one of these...hopefully that will happen in the next couple of weeks!

Looks like good weather (so far) for this weekend. We will meet at the same place at the same time for a different workout each week.

Saturday's weather looks like it will be around 60 and cloudy with a chance of showers and thunderstorms. So guess we will roll the dice and hope we get lucky. The plan is to ride even if it is raining, unless it is absolutely awful or there is lightning. Any cancellations will be posted here. On the plus side, it is never a bad idea to practice riding wet roads as you never know what race day will throw at ya! Plan for 5/14-Meet at 8:45, Depart at 9AM sharp. * We will start with a nice flat ride north up Lander to Gates Mills Blvd East to Old Mill East dropping down into the valley. * Then will head north up Chagrin River Road to Sherman Road east for some timed hill repeats. (Ex: 2 min up, whistle blow everyone circles back down, repeat at various intervals) Perfect drill so everyone can perform at their own ability. * After last repeat we will continue east to Caves Rd south. Right on 87 west. Left on Russell S/North into Chagrin Falls where we will pick up Chagrin Blvd to return to Fleet Feet. * Mileage (NOT including hill repeats which will likely put us over 30 miles) is ~23 miles. Depending on group, we can make modifications to length if desired. * Bring running shoes if ya want to run a few miles after. You can download the route on our website here. www.clevetriclub.com/training-menu/general-training-menu.html

With TTT and GCT Training Session #1, there will not be an official group training session this week out of Fleet Feet Pepper Pike. Encourage everyone to head up to Mentor Headlands this week to ride the GCT course.
Meet at Lot 17 of Mentor Headlands at 9AM and be ready to ride the marked course.
Back on next Saturday from FF Pepper Pike as usual!

Summer is getting busy. This week Tim / I will be out at the Cleveland Tri Training Day & Picnic at Edgewater . So unfortunately, I don't think there will be anything official this week.
The following Saturday (6/18), I plan to hit the Greater Cleveland Training Day at Mentor.

I don't think this group rode more than 2-3 times. I would say it is currently not happening.

I thought there was a message about this somewhere already but I can not seem to find it myself. Regardless to avoid any confusion, these rides are no longer going off from Pepper Pike on Saturdays.
There are random rides going off from east side locations from time to time and those will be posted to CTC's facebook page and the forum...so watch for those.
