Hello CTC'ers,
The Nature Center at Shaker Lakes in Shaker Heights is hosting a 5K run this Saturday!! This unique race is through the Shaker Parklands and is a fundraiser for The Nature Center's "Jenny Goldman Fund," which allows us to do our environmental education programs for urban youth in Greater Cleveland. This fund allows students to visit our urban forest and also allows us to send naturalists to City of Cleveland schools as part of their science curriculum. Through this program we can reach students who might not otherwise have exposure to environmental education.
The 5K begins at 9:15 a.m.....leaving you just enough time to finish it and stop by the CTC fall picnic for the duathlon
In addition to the 5K run, we also have 1-mile, 2-mile and 12-mile naturalist lead hikes. You can find details about the 5K and hikes here:
