Did you ever want to join in on one of those big group rodie rides but was unsure how to ride in a pack?
Do you know how to properly ride a pace line??
Have you ever wondered about interval training on the open roads???
Do you know when the proper time to drink from your water bottle is or when is the best/most efficient time to up or down shift is?
Do you just want to understand rode ridding better and improve your bike handling skills??
Well if you said yes to any of these questions or just want to join in on a very informative, skills building ride - well we got the ride series for YOU!!
Starting Wed. Sept. 22 and running 5 weeks CTC with the help of club member and UBER biker Dave Garrett will be holding a rode bike skills clinic and ride. Emphasis will be on teaching/demonstrating riding skills and etiquette. This WILL NOT not be a hammerfest. Road bikes or tri-bikes are fine.
Drafting/group riding techniques.
Shifting techniques.
Proper pacing.
Using water bottle at appropriate time.
These are a few ideas that will be covered with an added emphasis revolving around safety and keeping the flow of group riding steady.
This clinic is for BOTH new/inexperienced AND vet/skilled riders. We will meet at Sweetwater Landing at 5:45 with a 6 pm sharp push off time. Pace will be mild to moderate. Ride time will be approximately 1 hr. 15 min.
There is no charge for this class and if anyone is interested we will head out afterwards for drinks and food.
Any questions - please post em. Looking forward to getting a big group together for this very informative and interactive class.
