We're on for tomorrow morning (July 6th). Since I'm racing this Sunday, it will be my usual race week light track work:
1.5 mile warm up 6 x 400 w/400 rest intervals 4 x 100 barefoot strides on the field 1.5 mile cool down
As always - feel free to do what ever workout you may choose
Here's the skinny for anyone new that may want to join in:
Date: Every Tuesday morning Time: 6:00 am warm-up - 6:10-ish Intervals begin Location: Fairview Park High School Track
The track is located just off of W. 210th Street, one block south of Lorain Road in Fairview.
I will leave my house at 6:00 sharp and I'm usually at the track at about 6:12. Warm up at the track or meet at my pad to warm up through the Fairview neighborhood (shoot me a message for my address).

We had a nice crew this week. For those of you who don't come out because your don't think you can "hang" with more intense training, consider this: We had 6 people this week doing 4 different workout at very different speeds. Three of us were doing the metric workout (above) - which includes our guest runner from Maryland, who just happened to be in town and found out about our workout from Matt O. One was doing a sustained tempo run. One was doing mile repeats One was doing 10 minute lactate threshold intervals. Bottom line - we have runners ranging in speeds from sub-18 minute 5K paces to 27+ minute 5K paces. Don't fear the track. It is your friend (and will make you faster !).

Due to work commitments, I will miss all Tuesday morning track workouts in August. However, there are some other regulars that attend weekly (Beech, Hagan, Larimer, etc). Hopefully, my crazy work life will slow down in September and we can push hard toward the Akron Marathon weekend !
