We are now only one week out and the RSVP response has been phenomenal. It looks like we will have over 70 people out there and RSVPs still continue to trickle in! The most recent itinerary can be found in the link below and we will try to keep everyone up to date so you all know exactly what to expect. docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B-CwwZRshAlQMjgzNDM0MDMtZmQ4NS00ZjEwLWIyNDUtOTIwOWY0N2FlMGRk&hl=enImportant items of note that I want to mention- - Please plan to arrive at 7AM. There will be quite a few people checking in and after check in, everyone will need to head down to the beach which is a decent distance away and we want to get started on time. Everyone will need to check in and sign a waiver. If anyone has not yet renewed there 2010 membership, we will have membership forms out there and will be accepting memberships. Please do know that this event is free and open to everyone, including non-members.- We are fortunate to annouce that Eric Opdyke with REV3 will be able to attend the preview day and will go over REV3 Race Details & Logistics starting at 7:45 AM at the water. - The swim course is not the same as we will be swimming at Sawmill Creek's beach. Sailfish wetsuits will be available to demo. Everyone has the option of just participating in the group swim or participating in the Open Water Swim Instruction held by Liquid Lifestyles that will be ran simultaneously. - The bike course should be marked. There is no need for everyone to print off maps. Maps will be provided and everyone will be riding the same course. Of course, it is up to you if you want to ride it once or twice! There will be a refueling station in Berlin Heights. We will have group leaders for A, B, and C levels. Please make sure your bike is in good working order and bring your cell phone just in case you would need to call for assistance. - Of note, the run course will not be the same as the REV3 course. We will be setting up a 1.5 mile out and back course on Sawmill property for a total of 3 miles. Aid will be available at each mile marker. - We are going to have two special clinics starting at approximately 2 PM. Infinit speaking about long course nutrition and Coach Angela Forester talking about Ironman Strategy. - Please plan to refuel with the rest of the gang at the post preview day social and gathering at Big Bear Saloon (on Sawmill's property) starting at 3PM. This will be a don’t miss gathering with some nice giveaways from the sponsors. Everyone is responsible for paying for your own food & drink. Lastly, we have had lots of RSVPs and have tried to follow-up with people who wanted to confirm they were good to go. I think we have followed up with those folks. Rest assured, if you have sent us a RSVP, you are all set! We are looking forward to a great day of training next weekend and again appreciate the support of the sponsors for making it happen!

John, you are all set. Like I said we only replied to people who asked for replies back and there were a lot of emails to go through. I think we had have had another 10-20 just this week so there should be quite the turnout!

What a terrific response for the REV3 training day. We are easily over 100 rsvps!!! Again, please try to arrive as close to 7AM as possible. There will be lots of people to check in and we want to get started on time! Below is the course map which everyone will ride. We will have B/W copies available tomorrow but feel free to print off your own. docs.google.com/fileview?id=0B-CwwZRshAlQZDMxNTc1ODQtNWFmOC00MDYzLWE2ZDUtYjRiM2Q0NjAyYTFj&hl=enThere will be signs up as you enter Sawmill Creek directing you on where to go. Weather looks perfect and it should be a fantastic training day!

WOW, what a fantastic turnout for the event! We had about 120 in attendance and hopefully everyone got something out of it!
We were so lucky to have so many wonderful sponsors stepping up to help out to make it a high class event including-
• REV3 TRI and Eric Opdyke, for marking the course (with help for CTC’s own, Ken Beech), course discussion and REV3 water bottles! • Bike Authority and Sean, for bike maintenance support! • Sailfish Wetsuits, for wetsuit demo! • Liquid Lifestyles and Leah Nikes, for the fantastic open water swim clinic! • Spin, for their bike aid station and SAG! • Idutri, for coming out and SAG! • Infinit Nutritition, for providing Infinit, water and the terrific nutrition seminar by Michael Folan! • Angela Forester Training, for providing all the long course strategy tips! • TriBike Transport, for providing discount codes and a ton of post preview day wrap up items! • And a special thank you to Sawmill Creek for providing the venue, the watercoolers and ice, golf cart ferrying and providing us over the top service!
All in all, it seemed that the day was a huge hit and it was awesome to get such a large group training day together! We had attendees coming in from all over the place like PA, MI and IN!
It seems like a good time to note, CTC is working very hard to bring area triathletes lots of opportunities. New this year alone are: more Crazy Coyote TT Races, the Swim Challenge and Clinic, the Mohican Training Camp and this REV3 course preview day. Fees for these events are generally free or incredibly small to barely cover costs, but they do cost the club money and most of these events are open to non-members. It is encouraged that if you are not a CTC dues paying club member, that you join the club and support the club that is working hard to provide NE Ohio athletes events and opportunities to network together.
Personally, I am so excited that REV3 is here in our neck of the woods putting on a high class event and I can’t wait to do my first full. Obviously, this seems to be the case with a lot of people from this weekend’s turnout! REV3 is stoked about the area response and is already looking forward to 2011! So in the event you missed out on the first training day and you don’t want to miss out on round 2, the OFFICIAL REV3 PREVIEW day is up 8/21! Details will be forthcoming so mark your calendars now!

I just want to say thank you for putting this event on. What a great day and all we had to do was show up. You got a new member, my dues are in the mail. The whole day was first class, from the wetsuit rental and swim clinic right down to the post ride talks. I wasn't able to stay to grab a bite to eat after, but I will for the 21st.
I loved being able to demo the Sailfish wetsuits, it was my first wetsuit swim. I liked the feel, but think I might want to try a sleeveless suit too just to compare. Leah did a great job giving us tips about the swim, what to expect from the beach start, how to deal with shallow water, etc. I would like to give a special thanks to the group leaders for the B2 riders. They did a great job of informing us about the course, how what we rode differed from the half course and what to look out for on the ride. This was my first group ride ever and it was really enjoyable.
If you didn't make it up Saturday and are doing the Rev 3, I would highly recommend the training day for Aug. 21st. I will be there again.

I came despite the rfact I I am training for my first TRI ... not IM. I greatly benefited from the OWS and the great tips we were given on the dolphin, 180 buoy turn, and sighting. The bike course gave me the opportunity to shatter the distance of my longest ride by 29 miles!!! ( my group did 53 miles) Thank you CTC and REV3 Clinic !!!
