11. Stop making excuses-I see so many people my age with young kids use the job of parenting as an excuse. I myself have 2 young kids (3 later this week!), and while sometimes it's hard to find the time to workout, I feel like I owe it to them. I workout because my Dad was a marathon runner, and riding next to him during his long runs is something I'll never forget. Kids need role models, I had one, my kids will have one. Having kids is not an excuse to be sedentary, in fact, it's the worst time possible to become sedentary.

I always find time with the following
11) wake up an hour earlier 12) make wife angry
works though!

if a wife/husband/gf/bf/partner does not fully support your healthy lifestyle - get rid of them - seriously - and particularly if you have kids because there is NOTHING more imp than doing what you can (ie being healthy) to be around for a long time for your kids
they are being selfish - and probably have all the excuses why they cant do 1 hr of execrise a day
james - ur correct -set a good example, dont show your kids how to make excuses

this is wy I like this sport and like this club
good stuff
my kids ( all 14 ) are the excuse I use to train
not an excuse get out of it
I want to to be healthy for the young ones when I am older
and I want to stay ahead of the older ones now
my goal is to do a triathlon when I am 80.
Most of you will still be doing them then right?
