The CTC Headwater's Duathlon will be this Saturday! There will be a slight change to the bike course from prior years in that instead of coming back on Peck we will take 44. Peck is even bumpier now than it was and the stretch on 44 is fast and mainly downhill which should make the course much more fun!
For those who have not rode this course, it definitely has some rollers and some climbs on the 16.5 mile bike course! The first and second run is 2.9 miles on a flat crushed limestone trail.
There is no need to pre-register. However, if you are planning to participate, it would help our planning if you could let me know. Either reply here or email me at janet_e1@yahoo.com.
Also we could use a could use a couple volunteers. Please let me know if you can help. Would need help starting at 8:30 AM.
Details: Day: Saturday, April 10 Place: Buchert Park ( E High Steet), Mantua, OH 44255 Time: 9:00 AM Start (8:15-8:45 AM Registration) Race Day Registration: $5 for CTC Members, $10 for Non-CTC Members
Who is in?
I will be there and plan to race (given we are OK on volunteers)

Sorry, but I have a change of plans. Matt's not going to be able to ride tomorrow, so I'm just going to do my long run from home.

As always Janet! Great effort with hosting and racing........ Let it be known that your bike effort was quite exceptional too....... You are becoming a stronger and faster athlete....... Keep it up! Mark and Nathan, also supported the race too...... Thank you! I think we all enjoyed the "fun, yet, competitive" event...... Mark wearing his winter gloves the whole way through the race... A pre race season event such as this, was a great way to work out any kinks in a "race environment"........ From the running, transition, to the bike and those hills, and the heavy legs on that second run........ ;D Brian

For those that have never done this event - its well worth checking out. Its a challenging, yet fun course that has very little vehicle traffic. Janet moved the last leg of the bike course to eliminate the only bad section of road this year, so, its even better than before. Good stuff. Nice work out there folks.
