Anyone ever see this movie?
This has always been my all time favorite movie
It was the Academy award best picture in 1980 or 1981
Eric Liddle was an awesome example on and off the track
He is one of my "idols"
just wondering if anyone else likes this movie
it is about running though short distances

so Is it that no one has seen this movie? If that is true I recommend it. Here is some info It won 4 oscars in 1981 www.imdb.com/title/tt0082158/or is it that no one likes it? It is a movie you have to wacth more than once to get all of the subtle lessons it gives just wondering mike

I guess from the overwhelming enthusiasm for "Chariots of Fire" To have a "Chariots of Fire" "Movie night" / "Pizza party" for CTC wouldn't go over very well right? I think I will watch it tonight for the 100th time in the last 25 years mike

no way
you have to watch Chariots of Fire at least 3 times to get full
I like movies that are based on true stories
Did Avatar have any Australians in it?
there needs to be a movie about triathlons like " Spirit of Marathon" a couple of years ago.

I just saw Avatar in 3D. It was better than Chariots Of Fire Completely agreed. I'll play though - as far as running movies go I prefer "Without Limits" (prefontaine story) and "Running Brave" (billy mills story) - and then you have to love "Breaking Away" (cycling movie from Disney) All I liked a lot better than Chariots of Fire personally.....

I think for me it is more than just liking a movie. I base whether I like a movie on more than entertainment but on the virtue it promotes. When I was 19 this movie and the life of Eric Liddell had a lasting impact on my life here is a clip of my favorite part www.youtube.com/watch?v=uwyltmUR3MU&feature=relatedthere are two lines in it that I have tried to live by 1. " He who honors me I will honor" 2. When I run I feel "his" pleasure. I want to honor and please "him" I have not always met the standard but I want to. this clip is awesome but you need to know the rest of the movie to get the full impact of these words. Eric Liddell lived them mike

Loved Without Limits! Anyone remember The Jericho Mile with Peter Strauss?? One of my faves from childhood - really pumped me up. Recently my TiVo found it and I made my family watch - I still get the same feeling!
