Is there anyone who still has "faith" in the Browns...... How about the owners?
Its beyond frustrating to follow Cleveland sports...... Is it possible for someone to make them a real "pro team" again?

My forefathers left northern Europe because they were tired of farming rocks, eating dirt, and dying of scurvy. They settled in Cleveland. My grandfather was a Browns fan. My dad is too. I am. My child will be.
Browns, Cavs, Indians. That's it. For better or worse. I don't pick and choose my teams, as is the current fashion among many.

This year has been pretty terrible. The level that they're playing at is so far below NFL standards that it's a little embarrassing. I agree with Matt, you don't get to pick your team, but it would be nice if every once in a while it didn't feel like hard work to be a Cleveland sports fan.

Matt echoed my sentiments exactly. What makes me most sick are the Steelers fans I work with that also root for the Cavs and Indians (they are my age so they grew up with the Indians of the 90's) and Ohio State football. This article was published on ESPN just a few days ago. It is titled "The Hard-luck Life of a Cleveland Browns Fan." This article pretty much sums up how I feel. When the Browns finally win, it will be that much sweeter because of all the hard times we have gone through. I remember my Dad flying to Denver for the very game mentioned in the article when I was 5 years old. sports.espn.go.com/espn/page2/story?page=latulippe/091022&sportCat=nflI still have tickets for 2 games this year (MNF against Baltimore, and Dec 6 against SD).

I agree you can't pick your teams. When I was a kid I tried to be a pain and root for anybody but Cleveland teams.
I became a Browns fan at the 1986 AFC Championship game, you know the one "The Drive". My Grandpa and I had gone up on a bus from Akron, as a 12 year old that was so cool. It was such a great game right until the end. The silence after they scored was so profound. Riding home on that bus was so eerily quiet . The collective suffering of an entire city. It galvanized me from that moment on that this was my team and I can't escape it.
Every Sunday I sit here and suffer in the hope that we'll pull it out. And when we do it will feel so good.
