just an FYI i booked a room at hotel breakers for the !/2 IM and the girl told me they had about 100 rooms left ( she said plenty ) but i think not. we get a special rate of $148.00 and dont have to pay deposit till January 5th. so if you are planning on staying at the host hotel if might be a good idea to book now.

That's funny-a couple weeks ago I was looking online and it said it was full. I'm debating if a hotel room is necessary. My parents live about 20 min away and I'm doing the half. I suppose convenience-wise it'd be better to just stay there. ?

There will be 4 host hotels. In addition to the Hotel Breakers, Sawmill Creek Resort, Great Wolf Lodge and Kalahari will be offering discounts.

Online reservation appeared full. So, I called and was told a "group" has reserved Cedar Point for that weekend. I told her I was doing the Triathlon, and I was immediately allowed to reserve a room. Evidently, they are planning to close Cedar Point to the general public. (They are waiting to see the demand) Potentially, no waiting in line for the rides! (Plus, special discount admission for family & friends).

Hello, If you follow the link from rev3tri.com, it will take you directly into the page with the group rate. If you go directly to Cedar Point's website, it will appear sold out. We have a large block of rooms reserved (almost the entire hotel) and it is selling out quickly. For convenience, this is the place to stay. Packet pickup will most likely happen at Breakers and it will be a very short walk to the start and finish line from the hotel.
Also, their website says the park is closed on Saturday. Don't worry, it will be open to us. Its closed to the public. We're also working on getting a select number of rides open Friday.

Eric eric@rev3tri.com Rather than a link to the main Home page, how about just a link to the page with the rates? Much appreciated. Kevin
