The swim is really gross. It is a muck bottom lake that feels awful and smells terrible. But since you don't care, no big deal.
The bike is flat farm roads in and around Wellington. A couple of dips here and there but nothing siginficant.
The run is awesome. It is a trail run. The first .75 miles are around the lake then it goes into the woods. Last year was muddy and wonderful. Dont think it is supposed to rain that much this weekend. Ups and downs, sharp turns and roots. It is a really fun race. Loved it.

oh my gosh i absolutely LOVED this triathlon. yes the water was gross but the course was great and scenic. the trail run was fantastic ( i never did that before ) i think i may be looking more seriously at trail running in the future. loved loved loved it. the end was a bit anticlimactic i have to say but i understand the ins and outs of putting on events as i manned the bridle stage aid station at the mohican 100 ultra for nine years in a row so i have a lot of patience for the volunteers and the way things are put together. i am just so grateful to be of sound mind and body to be back into the sport that everything seems good right now. just thought i would share my feedback. whenever i doubt my ability or have difficult training i just remind myself how fortunate i am to have a body and a spirit that is willing and able to try. that is good enough for me.
