The CTC Picnic will be on May 9th. Here are the details:
Wendy Park on Whiskey Island (next to Edgewater) 11:30 start time (usually go for 3-4 hours) We will provide burgers/dogs and drinks. Please bring a dessert or side dish. Come ready to play volleyball.
If you will be attending the picnic, please RSVP to clevetriclub@yahoo.com.
Newbies Ride Beforehand
There will be a newbies bike ride starting at 9:30 AM from Sweetwater Marina at Rocky River. Lets meet by the picnic shelters (go straight when you enter the parking lot instead of going right to the marina). Experienced riders can join too. All paces welcome and no one will be left behind. We'll plan to ride for an hour or so, then we can head home for a shower before the picnic (or just go stinky - hey, we're triathletes! ;D). If you will be attending the ride, just post here.

Both of my sons have t-ball games that afternoon, so I'll have to miss the picnic. I'd like to join you for the bike ride in the morning though! Kim

I will be there also. A little late. Crossfit in the morning with a nutrition clinic afterward.

I'll be a tinge late myself - doing a Jacob's Field tour with my youngest at 10:30 - probably get there about 12:30.

Unfortunately, I don't think I'll be able to make it...I'll be sitting behind this here computer making maps hopefully I'll get enough done that Cleveland State will give me my degree next weekend. Well, if Durno has some GIS data layers he can bring on a CD to the picnic then maybe there is volleyball in my afternoon.....

You didn't miss any volleyball - 40 MPH wind would have been tough to follow the ball in - besides, the nets weren't up. Good kite flyin' weather. The cold air chased us away by about 1:45... right as the sail boarders were showing up. Good eats - nice grill work Ben.

Thanks for the picnic and thanks for manning the grill Ben! We could've done without the wind though....

All was good until the hot dogs got blown into the brownies. Then, we knew we had big problems.
When we were leaving, Jen noted that the wind was hardly blowing at all back in the parking lot. Maybe we should have tailgated.
Anyhow, it was fun, as always. I am pretty sure I've been to every CTC picnic since 2001. The first one was just four people and it snowed.

That was serious wind. It was great to see people though, and Ben was a fantastic cook as always - he even makes a good grilled veggie burger. And Durno with the ice cream - awesome.
Jennifer learned the words picnic, kite and windy so it was a successful day (This is my 2 yr old daughter, not Jen Collister. I am pretty sure that Jen C. already knows these words...).
