I just watched an interview on NBC with Matt Millen - the lame duck GM of the Lions who was fired earlier this year. It was outstanding - he stood up, took all the blame and made no excuses. Much like Romeo did this year - shouldered everything. Very classy. That was refreshing to see. Now if we could only get the College football playoff... right Rob !!

What exactly could he say differently. The man went lost 97 games over 7 seasons as GM if you inlcude this season stats. He was terrible at drafts. The only person i think worse was Dwight Clark. the amazing thing is the Lions hired his right hand man to be the new GM.

I'm a huge fan of people who are modest when they succeed and hold their heads high when they fail. That dude showed big time character in that interview.

I guess standing up and owning the mistakes when there is no place to hide does not impress me that much. Granted i did not see the interview but that dude should have been fired a long time ago.
