Our 2009 indoor triathlon series is here! As in years past, you can look forward to a fun, friendly series of events at local fitness clubs. Our series is a great way for a new triathlete to be introduced to triathlon and a great way for a more experienced athlete to stay motivated during the winter months!
Sunday, January 18
Macedonia Rec Center
1494 East Aurora Road, Macedonia, 330-468-8370
Saturday, February 14
HFC Athletic Club
1375 E. 9th St., Cleveland, 216-621-0770
Sunday, March 29
Veale Center, CWRU
Adelbert, Cleveland
Race Day schedule and format
Participants do a pool swim, stationary bike ride, and a treadmill run with approximately 5 minutes transition time between each discipline. The order of events may vary depending on the wave to which you are assigned. Ranking will be determined by who goes the farthest in the allotted time. Note that due to challenges associated with calibrating the stationary bikes, the bike leg will not count toward the total distance. We may opt for a tough spin workout to fatigue your legs for the run (similar to what happens in a regular triathlon).
We will provide snacks and hydration, but bring your own water bottle.
Race Distance
20 minute swim, 20 minute bike, 20 minute run
* order may vary depending on wave assignment
