Trying to get an idea from some of the other past IMKY competitors as to which hotel(s) provided them with them with the most conducive environment to succeed. I would hate to end up with garbage accommodations and feel like crap in the morning. Thanks.

I stayed at the courtyard by marriott right by the river (mostly because I have marriott points and it was free.) It's super close to the transition area so that made it really convinient. They had food for my family in the morning set out and were very helpful, I would recommend it.

It was very important for me to have my own kitchen. So I stayed across the river at the Towne Place Suites. It was very nice, wicked cheap, and about 4 minutes drive from TA. edit: The TownePlace Suites was a better deal than I remember... I paid $95 per night for a 2BR suite with a living room (slash bike shop!) and kitchen. edit again: How many posts do I need to get me another star? I'm destined to be a newbie forever.

Any female racers looking to share a room at this event? I'd also be up for driving with someone to share gas expenses. Jacqui

I stayed at the Residence Inn 333 East Market was very close to transition area <5 min walk. Also had a [glow=red,2,300]kitchen[/glow] and separate sleeping area. Was also less expensive than the other Marriott properties in town. This year I'll be watching and staying on Forth Street.

I also stayed at the courtyard. There are thousands and thousands of rooms in Louisville. The Marriot right down town by the finish line still had rooms available the week before. I would suggest that you make a couple reservations and go from there.

Scary walk at night though with drug dealers and stray PIT BULLS on the street!!! Had to say something Chris ;D Danielle and I stayed at the Hyatt on 4th street to watch and it was right by the finish line, very nice. Not sure where we are going to stay this year.
