I recently got a new training partner. She doesn't complain about rain or snow. She needs very little motivation to get out... I got a new dog(Italian Greyhound) named greta. She is a wonderful running companion! She kept pace with me today on a 2 mile run. ;D

I had an Akita that also was a great partner. Your dog will always be willing to go for a run, its in its nature. I'm sure you can find some warm gear for it to.

My yellow lab Goldie gets all the credit for my running "discipline" in the early days. She would land on my chest in the morning and not leave until my shoes were on and we were out the door. Unfortunately her running days are behind her and I rue the day she will no longer be around but I will always have the memories of the many miles we logged together in the North Chagrin Reservation. Just remember not to overdo it with your dog you can hurt them. My trainer always said no more than two miles at a time and I was in the park not on pavement. Here is her routine now:
