Hi everyone. Its seems like there are several of us newbies around. I've lurked on the forum for awhile but officially joined the club this week. I'm pretty excited to get into triathlons and I'm interested in finding some folks on the west side who are interested in training at a newbie pace. I plan to stop by Bike Authority this weekend and the picnic later in September. Looking forward to meeting all of you.

Susan, Welcome to the club! ;D There is a thursday night group that meets at the Rocky River Nature Center for runs..... A mix of Cleveland Tri Club members and the Cleveland West Road Runners Club....... They do offer slow to fast pace running...... So you can find your speed with whom ever you run with..... Also, there will be a large group of Tri Club members getting into the First Thursday of Each Month Run too...... As for the biking and swimming........ The day light is burning up quick, so look into some indoor pools and maybe buy a bike trainer..... Last year I bought my first trainer at Bike Authority ;D www.BikeAuthority.com , it was the "fluid 2 trainer" great for spinning at home when the weather gets bad out.... Brian

Thanks, Brian. Thursday nights would work well for me given my work/home schedule. Maybe I'll try to catch up with the group this week or next. I've been reading about bike trainers for this winter. I appreciate the advice since so much about training is still Greek to me.
