I don't know if you guys mind this but
I have a prayer request.
Some good friend who moved to Florida two years ago decided to move back to Cleveland.
They were 1 hour from pulling out to drive home and their 1 1/2 year old drowned in their pool. He was rushed to the hospital.
I have never had a more difficult phone call listening to the Dad crying, hearing the Mom crying as they stood over the little guy's body and have him say " He is gone"
I am flying down with my 19 year old daughter in a couple of hours.
Pray for this family.
They have 3 other kids The parents are Zach and Tanya.

Reading that made my blood run cold. That's beyond terrible.
I will have them in my thoughts.

as a pool owner and father of two children under the age of 4, this is one of my worse fears. my thoughts and sympathies go out to your friend.

As I type this , and being a parent, I am at a loss for words. Tell your friend that I will be on my knees this very evening, lifting him and his family up to the Lord.

Flew to Florida Thursday night. Helped with arrangements Friday. Helped family drive to Cleveland Saturday and Sunday. Monday drove son to Washington DC. Just got home Tuesday night.
Visitation is Thursday at 7pm and funeral service is Friday at 11am.
The hardest part had been when the Dad told me he ( at midnight Saturday). That he cannot get it out of his mind seeing his little guy floating face down. Also he asked me " Am I a bad dad? ". It was not his fault. It was a freak thing where 7 adults in the house were distracted for at the most 5 minutes.
The good news is I have seen the Lord's hand move through so many people. There were about 50 people show up to help them unload trucks on Monday. It only took 1 hour.
It is amazing how it adjusts your perspective on life. All I wanted to do driving back was to get home and hold my 3 year old.
The next few days will be hard. for them and everyone. I have done a 40 funeral services but none for someone so young.
Driving back we had moments of laughter and happiness being together but it would not last more than a few minutes and we would remember. They were both ( Dad and Mom) kinda numb and they had a hard time maikng decisions. I think that is why I was there.
Thanks for those who are praying.
