Any suggestions on how to decide what races to do and how many/how often? I have only done Huntington but want to do at least a couple others this summer....debating what to do: 8/3 Findley sprint 8/10 GCT (but swim is .5 mile and I suck at the swim right now, .25 mile was tough..know this is a well run race but wonder if I should wait till next year when I've worked on swimming more) 8/17 vermilion sprint (pretty sure I want to do this one for sure) and So don't know if I should just do one on 8/3 and 8/17 or I know people race every week but I think that might be a bit much for me just yet. Thanks!

Ok, good idea to check out the race info, the race in Vermilion is a 750m swim.

I'd also suggest the Portage Lake Tri run by HFP in September. If you don't like the 750 m swim that the sprint includes, there's a women's only tri the day before the regular sprint race. The women's only tri is more like a super sprint and has a 250 yard swim, 7 mile bike and 2 mile run. This was my first tri ever back in 2006 and it was lots of fun.
