Just wondering what most are wearing for the swim, since it's most likely wetsuit free.
Anyone have any luck with the non-wetsuit swim skins/tri suit or is just shorts and tri-top?

wish i could make a swim skin fit into the budget but not this year at about $200 - though the verdic I have heard from some very experienced folks is that the swim skin works great!!!
i'll probably just swim in a pair of De Soto low cut tri shorts - that will be the shorts for the entire day - have done all my IMs in these shorts - realize they are not for everyone but they work for me - even if you were to switch to a more padded tri short these type are good to swim in
Don't think I swam in the tri top last year - took the extra couple seconds to dry off and then had one of the changing tent volunteers help me on with the tri top

I found a DeSoto lift foil or something like that skinsuit on sale for $120 at trisports. I haven't had the chance to use it in the open water yet, but I swam with it in the pool and I could definitely feel a little extra boost to my legs versus just wearing my swim suit....it's not even close to wearing a wetsuit though. It did help my splits slightly, only slightly. I'm going to try to forget about my wetsuit for the rest of the season except for my races that allow it to try and get ready for IMKY.

I think I am just wearing the CTC shorts I have used for all my races since I got them and will also don the tritop after the swim.
Tim I think a thong would work better for you. Less drag.
