I found some other races up in Michigan and they are about a 3 hour drive. Check out 3Disciplines.com. I am planning on doing a couple of them! Tim Edwards

I have a weeding to attend in Breckenridge in June, and just signed up to do the Buffalo Creek XTerra Tri on the 21st. Does anyone in the group know anything about the course? Any opinions one way or the other? I am a bit "live without a net" because I will only be arriving two days before the race so won't have much time to aclimate. I am particularly interested in the amount of climbing required on the ride.

are you planning on doing the torn shirt on june22? I need to get off work that day but I was planning on going up there for the weekend and doing the race on sunday and coming home after. I am not sure about any others yet but the elicottville race on the 17th sounds good. I am planning on going to the thurs. rides as soon as weather allows.

No Torn Shirt for me this year, this is my year of rest. Probably the only Xterra I will do is the Xterra O.NE. at West Branch. People think that doing triathlons are hard which they are BUT, once you've turned your lifestyle into living, eating, and breathing triathlon the hardest thing for me is NOT doing them. After 3 years of doing the Xterra points series accompanied by achieving my goal of qualifying for 3 consecutive USA Championships my body is worn and beat down. So, I decided for this year to take some time off and do some much needed things around the house (besides drink beer) I even had to turn down an official Xterra Ambassador Position this year too, that was really hard. I felt it wasn't fair for me to take that position when I wasn't going to be at most of the races to represent my fellow athletes. I will start chasing points again in 2009 and 2010 so I'll be looking for someone to travel with me to cut down on the costs. I normally like to do 6-7 regional points series races/season. If Xterra O.N.E. is a success I would like to work on another Xterra venue somewhere in Ohio. Looks like another road ride this morning, rain, rain go away!
