No, this is not the Blue Oyster Cult thread, but it does relate to rockin'. I've got 3 concerts lined up for the next three months that I'll be hittin' with some of my "other" commrades. If anyone may be attending any these, let me know and we can hook up for a drink or six before the show !! May 17th: Kid Rock (the Q) June 12th: Iron Maiden (Blossom) July 25th: Foo Fighters (the Q) I'm also thinkin' about catching Filter over Memorial Day weekend at Tower City...

We might go see the fighters of foo again. I'd like to see them in a better venue than the convocation center.

Mark -
Just FYI - I think you accidentally put Kid Rock on your list of shows:-)

The Rock puts on one hell of a show. He's doing a "rock review" this time. 5 sets: two of them are Kid new stuff and favorites. Three of them are popular covers from the past - should be pretty cool.

Good thing he added the covers cause if he was just playing the favorites...man that would be one short show

Whoa!! Iron Maiden do you have tickets yet? I may be persuaded to get some lawn seats. They may go 2 for 1 as the date gets closer. They have a 4 pack @ 14.75 each.

No - I planned on doing the same thing you are - wait 'til the last minute. We may end up buying tix at the box office day of the show - we'll see. If you plan to go, let me know - I'm sure I'll be at the Winking Lizard in Peninsula for a few drinks before the show !

Are you still thinking about the Maiden show on the 12th?

Not thinking about it.... DOING IT !! I'm looking forward to this one. Right now - one of my brothers and I are going for sure and one of my work friends will probably join us. Since its at Blossom, we're going to hit Winking Lizard in peninsula before the show. So... you in ?? We can meet at the Lizard, chow on some wings - then buy tix at the box office. OR - if you can't make the Lizard, we can hook up at the box office. Drop me an e-mail to coordinate and we can swap cell numbers. madurno (at) att (dot) net

Two down, one to go in the concert tri series. The Maiden show was REALLY good (do you agree, Paul ??). I was amazed at the number of people there. Blossom was full - the pavillion was packed and the lawn was probably 80 - 90 % full. I haven't seen that much interest in 80's metal bands in almost 2 decades. I must say that I'm pleased. We learned an interesting lesson last night... We decided to buy tickets at the door instead of paying $16 worth of convenience charges per ticket. Well, when we got there, we still had to pay $12 of those fees. We were mighty disappointed - I really feel like it's false advertising that way that it was done. The show was worth it... just a word of warning if any of you think about waiting 'til the day of to buy - they'll get you either way... Up the Irons !! The Foo Fighters are in town on Friday, July 25th. They put on an amazing show. Giddy Up!

The show was raging, as usual the stage was great. Amazing how many people were there, I haven't seen that big of a crowd there for any show let alone a metal show in a while. Ticket prices, one word-LAME!!! I guess that I hadn't been to a big show in a while. However getting to hear Rime of the Ancient Mariner was awesome.
