Hey Alan, where do you shop for running shoes in Columbus? I have a friend down there who wants to take up running and I told her to find a local running shoes to get a good fit rather than go to Dick's. Unfortunately, neither she nor I know a good running store down there.

Jen, Here are two I found. Columbus Running Company is sponsoring the Columbus Half this weekend. www.columbusrunning.com/index.htmFront Runner www.frcols.com/Index.htmlI've been to Front Runner and it looks like a nice store, didn't buy anything. It's actually on the Columbus marathon course.

Jen, Quite frankly I still get my shoes from Ritchies in Tallmadge. But I would recommend Front Runner. It seems like every time I walk in there I leave with something. All the staff that I've talked to there seems to know there stuff. If your friend really wants to get serious about running, she may want to check out MiT. premierraces.com/mit/index.htm I personally have not done anything with this group, but they have a solid reputation. I see them run on the trail all the time too.
