I was just doing a "sync" with my calendars and found something that may amuse some of you:
I'm considering attempting the Towpath half-marathon because I won't be ready for the Cleveland half-marathon in May. When I went to pencil it into my calendar, October 12 was already marked "Day of the Race," which is a Mexican holiday.

That seems like an omen to me. Go for it!

Sara.....This is one of the nicest marathons I have ever done. Even though it was pouring rain and the path was a mess. Well run and an absolutely beautiful course. If you don't run the path a lot you should start doing so as it takes your calf muscles a while to get used to the crushed limestone. Your foot tends to slip back just a fraction with each step, but over 13.1 or 26.2 miles it really puts a lot of stress on them.
