I am doing my first Tri at Huntington Beach in July. Does anyone have a recommendation on using a wet suit or not?

Huntington is my first race as well and i have done a lot of asking about the great wet suit debate. Everyone has told me not to wear one. Too short of a swim and for what you gain in time w/the added buoyancy most likely lose in T1 pulling the darn thing off. I don't need any extra confusion on that day!! ;D
Happy Training!

It isn't just the time spent removing it. You have a lengthy run back to transition uphill that would suck to do in a wetsuit or while carrying one. The swim distance just doesn't make it worth it and the lake is plenty warm now.
Good luck at your first triathlons!!
