wow..after six weeks of taking it slow and focasing my running and biking on zone three workouts..results are now being seen and felt. my recovery times are less and the length of the workouts are now done at lower hr's.
since I've not run in fifteen years...I've been focasing on my running, staying in zone three, and building my long run by time, now uo to eighty minutes.
It is great to be back involved in triathlons, cannot say it enough. the challenges are different mentally now, I was at one time able to run six minute miles, but am overjoyed to be out there and moving forward with gradual measurable improvement..and injury free. swimming has come back very well..but I need to be careful as the chlorine wrecks my sinus.
also accuopucture and ART have helped with hip problems I've had for years and once kept me from tris... walking and stretching help build a bridge that led to my first tri in august.
anyways..its great to be back, healthy and a member of CTC.
