Swim Distance to breakwall

Last night, the newbie group was discussing how far it was to swim east from the stairs to the breakwall. Using the Gmap pedometer (www.gmap-pedometer.com/ ), I found out.

According to the pedometer, it's 0.1709 miles, and according to www.ask.com, "0.1709 miles is equal to 300.784 yards." So, Sara was right. It was more than 200 yards.

Edited to add: I had a great time last night. I didn't realize how much I'd enjoy open-water swimming. ;D
