Anyone else interested?
I was thinking of making a weekend training trip to Lake Placid to put some hours in on the IM course. I'm open to what weekend...maybe end of April or May. Probably leave early Friday and come back Sunday night or Monday?

Ryan,
Great idea but you might be a little premature in your timing.
You might find the weather inhibits what you go up to accomplish. I went up in early June in 06 and it was cold and rainy the whole weekend.
If you go be prepared to literally anything.
I also recommend staying at the Crowne Plaza.

The Green Mtn Lodge is a good place to stay too. Cheap, clean, comfy beds, breakfast included in some of their packages, and right on the course i believe (3 mins from Whiteface Mtn).

Rob, thanks for the info...I was gonna ask you about that. Matt, great advice! That's a long trip...even longer if it's a crappy weekend. I guess if no one else is interested, I'll just wait for a nice weekend

Hey Ryan,
You should go - IMO it will pay dividends to ride this course a few times before the actual race.
Find a nice weather weekend and go......I'd recommend the following format:
If you do go make sure to ride the 112 at least once and run at least the first 3 miles out.....maybe even brick this......once again, I think it will make race-day strategy much easier for you.
Have fun - post when you go - I may be up for a nice training weekend in a great location.
