Wanting to keep it simple. Any body use a protein drink during the race and resulted in NOT having GI issues on the run? If so... what is it....how much and when is it consumed?
Has anybody tried the ready to drink Carbo Pro 1200?

I have been wondering the same thing for a while, I use Myoplex before races 42 grams of protein... never have a problem with it, wanted to use it at the bike special needs stop, but cannot figure away to keep it cold..
I also have protein in my Infinit drink.. but I have not been able to really dial in the mixture for this drink for the IM distance.. I think its been to strong of a mixture.. So i am going to cut back the mixuter to around 225-235 cals. per bottle and take in the rest with gels, beans and bars.. I believe my mixture was around 335 cals. per bottle.. and I am not a big person..
I read some where in Hammer Nutrition that no one should take in more than 300 cals. and hour.. I do not know how true that is..

I have used accelerade for the past 3 years (whey protien @ a 4-1 ratio without problems - if fact I think it brings my legs back to life - I have tried Powerbar Recovery drink - similar formulation but a slightly bitter taste - and it works also - the Recovery taste is kinda refreshing after gu's and gaterade
