Well the big race is this Saturday - and just an FYI - Clevelands own Jim Lamastra will be racing after qualifying last Sept at IMMoo.
For those that don't know Jim - he is a really great guy and very down to earth. Just a fantastic person.
Go get em Jim.

Jim is also a cancer survivor. We have arranged for some additional coverage while he is out here and is also member of the Second Sole - Spin Team.
The excitement is building. All the players are here. I ran into Heather Gollnick the winner of IM Louisville this AM while she was on her training run. Not too many people are giving her a chance here, but I would tell you she sure was looking good and heardly breaking a sweat in the 85 degree temps and 85 % humidity here at 08:00 AM.
Also talked to Natasha Badman at the Gatorade Swim Practice this AM. This event always draws a very big crowd.
Lots of people are also entered for the fund raising "Under Pants Run set for Thursday AM.
Last but not least have a breakfeast set with Tom Knoll and Dave Orlowski, two of the original IM who will be partipating in the Freedom Run Across America which will be passing thru Cleveland area in 2008

Jim's a good friend and the reason I started triathlons. Qualifying for Kona is so impressive and maybe even a little overdue considering how hard he's worked over the years. Even odds on Jim vs Kona!

Anyone know what network will be broadcasting the race (or at least a one hour recap of it)?

I wish it was covered live. Anyone know how long we have to wait until they do their annual special that makes every man and his dog want to do an ironman?

Jim was out of the water in 55:24 and through 29 miles he is holding just over 21mph on the bike.....WOW.....NICE!
Keep it up Jim
Any others from the area racing today?

For those of you who own a Computrainer or Power Meter, check this out-
Luke Bell is averaging 360 FREAKING watts on the climb to Hawi. I think I could hold 360 watts for about 36 seconds...amazing what these guys and gals can do!
