SOLD OUT.... The link that was on ealier in the morning was not the right one. You had to go through ironmanwisconsin.com to get the right active.com link.
So how soon before the bratwurst and cheese taper begins???

I'm in as a course marshall. I wield a mighty magic marker. Cower before me.

Alan,
I am jealous you are in for next year. I'm getting the bug to do another IM but will have to wait, maybe 2009(Coeur d'Alene).
BTW, can you believe it has been an entire year since the first IM. Happy IM Moo anniversary!
Good luck training!

I want to announce that I am officially registered for Ironman Wisconsin 2008 and I'm going to kick serious butt when I race there next fall!

I'm lucky that I got in because I didn't go to wisconsin (almost did, but friends came into town). Than i forgot about the registration on monday morning and ended up getting in anyway. YES!
Now, i won't forget that I have to train for this. The plan is to work only half of next summer and concentrate on training the rest. Oh the joys of still being a "kid"

So... who is designing their own training plan and who is getting a coach?
Who, beside me and Out-Back-Rob, are West-siders (we’re Lakewood specifically)?
Although hockey season starts in a couple of weeks and I usually slack off Tri training while playing I guess this year I’ll have to get more base training in, in order to be ready for spring build up.

I have used a coach in the past - but will be doing this one with my own training plan (then I can only blame myself!)
Add 1 more Lakewood-er to the IMMOO list. Now - if only there were a few more hills in Lakewood.

Just an FYI Michael, Looks like IMMOO is the collegiate championship in 2008. Think with a copy of your student ID you could have gotten in. Any other full time students may still have a chance. www.ironmanwisconsin.com/colchamp.php

Paul - Dave and Tim are westsiders and we plan on training together a bunch. You and anyone else would be welcome additions. As far as coaching goes, we've talked about it and still don't know what we're doing - although it looks like self coached at this point. Im going to buy a proper pair of running shoes here soon and really run a bunch this winter. That more than anything else is the weak part of my game. Ill train for a spring marathon so by the time the spring buildup comes ill hopefully have a run base on par with some of the better runners. Oh how i'd love to be the one putting the hurt on everyone else on the run part of tuesday bricks next year rather than being the one getting my legs ripped off by all the better runners.

I'll probably train for Cleveland Marathon and then do a half IM scheduled for the middle of July everything else is gravy.

i saw that there was a race for the college kids, but I'm not interested. I would have tried if I didn't get it. But for me at this point I would rather be an age-grouper.
