alright, anybody else going to be nutty like me and do Timberman 70.3 in four weeks. I'm all set to go. Nothing like doing a little Ironman and chasing it down with a 70.3.
To be honest. I'm actually ready to go there and kick some butt. I felt really well on the 5 hours of Ironman and I think that if I can get some of that in me I might just be able to place in the age group or something. The goal is to tri and get a spot for clearwater but we'll see. I think that I am just going to go and tri a norman sadler and crush the bike and hold a steady run.
Wahoo for the mentally insane people who do this sport!

no HIM for me in 4 weeks - rather re-loading and doing IMKY!!
so Michael be smart in your training and you will do great at Timberman - I have actually founf that I run a good HIM 3 - 4 weeks after IM. just get some easy and moderate training in so as to not loose fitness and allow your body to rest and recover well

Mike - definitely doable. Last year I did IMLP followed by a 2 mile open water swim, sprint tri, HIM, and Oly tri in five successive weeks. Bright? No, but doable. I've got many years of racing under my belt which helped, but if you take it easy on training, you should be set for Timberman. I hear really good things about that race -- enjoy!

thanks for the words on encouragement. Last fall I did four races in a row and know how tired I was after that. This year though... is IMLP, followed by four weeks break, than Timberman, oly tri, oly tri & lastly oly tri in consecutive weeks... How do i have money to do all this..? actually I am asking myself how i'm getting the money for this.

Good luck Michael, It looks like a great race. Just dont over do the training right now. Your body needs to to recover from IMLP. If your looking for a Clearwater spot, go in with fresh legs and you will have a lot better half marathon.
I will be in Penticton for Ironman Canada.

don't worry, i am making sure that I am going in with a good rest. I gave myself a couple weeks of nothingness before IMLP and I felt like I had more energy than I knew what to do with. Tomorrow is going to be my first workout since. I was thinking a 20-30 mile bike and a 3-4 mile run at a slow recovery pace. We'll see how that goes.
