I bought a Garmin Edge 500 but the speed sensor magnet is for a spoke (little prong in back). I want to use Hed 3s. The prong thing won't work. Can I use any magnet or should I buy one specific to the Edge 500? Once I find the magnet, what kind of glue should I use to mount it to the Hed 3 ~~ don't want to ruin the surface of the wheel.
Thanks for your thoughts.

I have magnets with a "flat" slot designed for a bladed spoke (like on Zipps), rather than a round slot for standard round spokes. How about something like that attached with a narrow zip tie?

I have mounted magnets to Spinergy Rev-X's in the past and hot glue works well. Just make sure the surface of the wheel is very clean and oil free before gluing. Alcohol works well.
