So I am preparing for this presentation next Friday and finding tons of good information to talk about, almost too much information to keep things basic enough so as not to lose everyone with this high tech topic. Anyway, there is one topic that is not necessarily power related but goes a long way to helping one increase their power numbers. I thought I’d throw it out there early since this is the time of year to work on this kind of stuff. Do you have an efficient pedal stroke? Do you even know what an efficient pedal stroke feels like? If you own a computrainer you have everything you need right at your fingertips. It’s called Spinscan. If you own a computrainer and are not using Spinscan, you are missing out on THE best feature of this machine. If you own a computrainer and are using Spinscan, do you know what all those numbers on the screen represent? I came across this video and I think it is worth 10 minutes of your time if you want to learn some basics on how to improve your cycling. This coach goes into detail about using a computrainer to analyze your pedal stroke and how to improve it www.youtube.com/watch?v=3Mc5l5m5B9wI always warm up 10-15 minutes in spinscan before every indoor ride. Now I know what all those numbers mean… I was pleasantly surprised to learn that my numbers are pretty good.
