Looking for some opinion on if this is wort trying this year. I have not done a whole lot since LP. I have run 4 times and biked twice. I have been somewhat active but I have not been consistent. I did walk a lot of the marathon at LP. I am just looking to finish and get back on a schedule.
I am from Columbus so that is why I would like to.
Or, do I look for a later marathon?
I still need to work on my running for tris next year.

Patrick - after LP 2 yrs ago I had no motivation but tried to run a late marathon - it was good to get out running but not a good race - my head wasn't in it - that said the Cbus mary is a very good race - I ran it last year - well run - they know how to put on a marathon down there - the course is relatively flat - along toward the end of the race I was hoping for some kind of hill to change things up a bit - if you decide to go - have a fun time -

Patrick, Columbus marathon is always a nice marathon course. I usually go down for it every year (as there is generally a lot of Southeast Running Club Members that do it) and it is a scenic, pretty flat, fast course that you can run some pretty good times on. I would think with your base, that you should have time to get in the miles you would need to run it. I think if your goal is to finish and just get back into running more regularly, that this course would be as good of an option as any others of the fall marys around nearby.
I would do Columbus this year as the norm, but have a wedding to hit that weekend. I figure if I feel good after REV3, I may just go and do Towpath bc it is close to home and the soft terrain should not beat me up too bad!
