This will be as exciting to track as the Tour. Swim like a Fish, Ride like you stole it and Run like a Kenyan.
CTC, SSSMS, SBR, BAFF. Great representation from all Cleveland teams/clubs.

I checked the weather in Placid for Sunday. High of 76, looks like they may of caught a brake.

A couple of pre-race notes:
- As you can tell from Brandy's number, they bumped her up into the professional category on account of her hitting 52 MPH during our practice runs on the downhill into Keene. Of course, I'm full of sh*t, but she really did hit 52. No one else in our group got faster than 45 mph. Race numbers are done by age, so, you can tell who is the youngest and who is geriatric.
- There is snow on the ground.... really - they dump the ice rink zamboni scrapings in front of the olympic building.
- Just had wings for lunch.
- A HUGE shout-out to Paul Lentini, who couldn't be here but set us up with this incredible house. Its on the Bike and Run courses and only a mile from Transition/Finish. Sleepy bear ROCKS.
- We have three newbie IronPeeps in our house (Brandy, Patrick P., me). The veterans made us carry all their gear down to transition.
- Another big shout-out to Phil J and Patrick P. They figured out that I was racing on the QT months ago, but were good enough to keep it under their hat all this time. I decided I didn't want to talk about this for an entire year, so, I kept it to myself.
- It pretty cool being surrounded by thousands of tri-geeks.
- We have a SOLID crew of IronFans here - this is gonna be a (painful) blast!

We are all in good spirits relaxing at the Sleepy Bear Lodge, hydrating and bullshitting about the race tomorrow. It's ON in the morning!!!

shocking but true, it seems the athlete tracker is giving out crappy info again on Ironman live.

Eric - thanks for recapping - you saved all the racers a lot of searching when we were B.S.ing about things this morning. Matt - the vibe and the town were incredible. I've "fanned" 3 other races, and this was the best overall experience. I think everyone else felt the same way. Wisconsin is probably my second favorite for overall experience. What made it extra-special was having a house on both the run and bike course that was only a mile from the Start/Finish line - there were 14 of us here (8 racers, 5 fans). The midnight finish chute was an incredible experience - SO many people cheering their collective a$$es off for the final official finishers. Amazing all around. So glad I did this. I could definitely see a number of us coming back. Thanks to all who sent messages and texts - very cool.
