Hello all. I am looking to upgrade to a CF tri bike. My question, based on all of your experience...Trek or Cervelo? Specifically, I am wondering on quality, comfort, durability, and ultimately- faster times. Thanks for any and all input!!

Couple of things to think about first you will get more bang for the buck with the Felt - Cervelo sells at a higher price for a comparable bike But most important is fit - the only way you will know which bike fits best is to have each set up to your dimensions and ride them - I rode 5 different makes/model the same day before buying my TT bike and 4 on before buying my rode bike - check with the retailer about including at least a portion of the bike fitting cost into the purchase price of the bike - after all you are dropping a lot of bucks to buy the bike - you want it right

As Jim said, I love Felt myself. However, the fit is going to be the most important thing for a new tri bike. When buying a bike they should measure you first, then pick a bike that will fit your dimensions, then include a free fitting with the bike. Most reputable bike shops in this area include a fit for free.
Go to Bike Authority in Broadview Heights and have them hook you up. They are a Banner sponsor of CTC and they give a 5% discount on bikes to all dues-paying members of the Triathlon Club. Ultimately, they sell Trek, Cervelo, and Felt triathlon bikes - so go into the shop and tell them you want a Tri bike and they'll measure you and lay out your best options at a multitude of price points. Your best fitting bike is going to be the fastest bike as long as your comparable options are all in the same price range. Quality/Durability really don't need to be a concern - all 3 of these brands have stellar reputations.

I have a Cervelo TT bike and a Trek Madone road bike. I looked at all options and was not going in looking for a particular bike. I also found that with comparable components the bikes were all within a few hundred bucks. As said above, fit more important than brand. BA has a neat software package where they design a perfect frame for your measurements. They than overlay each brand and it becomes pretty obvious which bike will fit the best. A quick road test proved this out
