I'm looking at doing the HFP oly tri in Findlay on June 11. I found a course map, but I can't find a course description. Has anyone done this tri before? What is the bike course like? Hilly, flat and fast? Is the run on the road, paved path, rocky trail? Thanks for any info. Kim

I did the sprint last year and am signed up for the Oly this year. Run by HFP so the race is well organized, well marked, and well run. This race is a little different in that T1 and T2 are about a mile apart. Most people park at T2, there is very limited parking at T1 by the lake. You can just ride your bike and bring your swim gear. They provide a big plastic bag with your race number which you put your swim gear before you start the bike. You also have to set up your run stuff in T2. It seems a bit complicated but not a big deal. The bike is flat and fast as long as the wind is down. It is flat and open so I imagine the winds could be troublesome if blowing. The run is also flat and about 1/2 on road and 1/2 on dirt. One steep hill about 30 feet to get up to the top of the lake. There is steps or you could run the hill. From my view most did the steps up and down.
