There is a really neat event on Sunday the 26th, called "Ride For Miles." It is a 15 or 7 mile bike ride (non-competitive) starting at John Carroll University and up Gates Mills Blvd. It honors the life of Dr. Miles Coburn, an avid cyclist, who was killed in a bicycle accident in Aug. 2008. Dr. Coburn was my biology advisor at JCU, just an awesome guy and great athlete, very involved in environmental stewardship as well. Please visit the website for more info: www.rideformiles.org All proceeds go to bicycle safety and environmental initiatives. It's a great family event with amazing food and live bands. Nice way to end the summer Hope to see you there, ~Kristen Kovach

Melissa and I are in for this.
I agree with Kristen....this is a really nice way to end the summer and to honor someone who was very respected both in the cyclng and environmental communities.
