Some of you may know I wasn't too active with the club in 2008 when I was diagnosed with Amyloidosis (rare blood disease). While I was preparing for a stem cell transplant in August of that year, I looked for blogs of others who had this disease. One of those that I found was for a man named Paul Hawthorne. Unfortunately, he lost his fight that December but now his wife Amy has organized a team of 40 to do the NYC tri this weekend to honor him and raise money for the Amyloidosis Foundation. I'm happy that I'm a part of this team and I'm hopeful I'll have a great race report to post in a few days! If you can and are willing, I would greatly appreciate any amount, no matter how little, to help the cause. The team was targeting $40,000 and as of this morning we were still about $7,000 away. Information on our effort can be found here: www.amyloidosis.org/paulsposse.aspThe donation page can be found here**: secure.qgiv.com/cps_donors/?key=amyfound**If you can help, when filling out, in the Additional Information section, select “This donation is made in dedication to an individual.”, then select "In Honor Of” and fill in the Dedication Name as “Adam Patrick/Paul’s Posse” THANKS!
