Rain, rain go away… it’s time for CTC to play!
There is a lot going on right now with CTC. Most details and important dates are available now in the most recent club newsletter.
If you have not yet read it, you can find it here. www.clevetriclub.com/files/ctc_tribug_2q10.pdf
Upcoming events and details to be aware of…
THIS WEEK-
EVENT #1 - Night out at Mountain Road Cycles!
Friday, May 14th
7:00 – 9:00 PM
100 Industrial Parkways
Chagrin Falls, OH 44022
Join club members in checking out some tri-specific products! This is open to everyone (including prospective members and just those who may be interested in checking this out)!
The Felt Demo Rig will be there with a bunch of bikes. There will be clinics on SRAM, ZIPP, and Felt. There will be flat tire and bike maintenance clinics, fit suggestions, discounts and of course food and drink.
Additionally, for those interested, we will plan to hit Trifles after (the wine bar/bistro one building over).
And if you needed another reason besides a fun night out to socialize with CTC members, we will also have membership cards and the CTC beanies on hand, so plan to stop out and get yours FRIDAY!
EVENT #2 - CTC Out at Cleveland Marathon Finish Line & Post Race Gathering!
Sunday, May 16th
Heading downtown Sunday to run or spectate at Cleveland Marathon? Stop by the CTC booth which will be out at the finish line. We will be in the same spot as last year. This would be a great place to meet up with other club members. (Yes beanies and membership cards will be here too!)
Post event (approximately 11AM on), plan to head over to Barley House on W6th street to rehydrate or dehydrate and have some post race food with the rest of the gang! If it is anything like the post race gathering after last year’s marathon, a good time is pretty much guaranteed!
Looking forward to the following week-
EVENT #3 - GCT TRAINING AND CTC SPRING PICNIC!
GCT Training Session #1 will be Saturday, May 22nd at Mentor Headlands. There will be options for everyone from newbies that want to attend the clinic to people who just want to train on the course.
At noon, Cleveland Triathlon Club will host our spring picnic there at Mentor Headlands!
Burgers, Dogs, and Drinks will be provided. Please bring a dish to pass! Don’t miss out on this fun-filled day! Mark your calendars now and PLEASE RSVP to clevetriclub@yahoo.com so we can plan food accordingly!
Oh and I am bringing the volleyball to see who has got game!
EVENT #4 - CRAZY COYOTE TT
Sunday, May 23, Crazy Coyote TT Race at Meadows Picnic area, Brecksville
Each rider starts on their assigned start time and they complete the course as fast as they can (just like a tri
bike leg). After they finish, their time is recorded and all the riders are ranked by time. The fastest time wins.
The Brecksville venue is probably the most beautiful of them all and is rolling hills. This is a 3 loop course for a total of about 12 miles.
Oh and as a bonus, you can pick up some beast points here!
FINAL IMPORTANT NOTE – THE CLUB GEAR ORDER IS GOING ON NOW![/b]
We have a new exciting look for 2010 that you do not want to miss out on! Orders must be received by MAY 14th….so this means you need to send in your order NOW! Do not be left out!
