CTC is excited to announce that a new website is being launched and expected to be completed this spring.
Club gear items were on display at the meeting on 2/19. The order will be placed a little earlier this year so that members get their items in time for the racing seasons. More details will be forthcoming soon!
-------------------------------------------------------
CSU is offering CTC Members one heck of a good deal right now and for anyone who attended the Swim Event Sunday, I am sure most would agree that you could not ask for a better pool! Here are the details-
All active CTC members are eligible for a Corporate Sponsored Rate of $35/month (with an annual EFT contract). This is a savings of $110 off of our membership price. Also, we will waive the $50 initiation fee for any active CTC members and their spouses/dependent children (who also receive the same discounted membership of $35/month). Total savings: $160. Offer is good until March 31, 2010.
Any potential member can check out the Rec Center FREE for two weeks with our 2 week trial membership. Our website has a form they can fill out to request a free trial (www.csurec.com). We have other promotions and deals listed on our website as well.
-------------------------------------------------------------
The Swim Challenge/ Clinic was a huge success and was one of our most highly attended events outside of our social gatherings!
Many members swam further than they had ever swam before like our very own VP, Mark Durno!
Christian Kurilko was the first to 10,000!
The one hour free session which was raffled off from Liquid Lifestyles was won by Vic Magazine! Congratulations!
The clinic was very well attended and feedback was very positive!
------------------------------------------------
CTC wishes to offer a special thank you to the following people / organizations for their efforts this weekend-
Mickey Rymek, for bringing the microphone and sound system on Friday night. Otherwise I don’t think most of the members would have heard much of the meeting!
Mark Gorris, for his very informative lecture and making the trek up north to present on a Friday night with his family in tow!
Caroline, Rachael and the entire CSU gang for offering the club the wonderful discount and opening their doors up to the club for our First Annual Swim Challenge / Clinic (Note the word ‘Annual’ meaning we will look to bring this back next year!)
Leah Nikes and Liquid Lifestyles for running the Clinic, the one hour free training session raffle, providing discount cards & materials for clinic participants, as well as swim caps for all the attendees!
Also thanks to all the volunteers Sunday, with a special mention to Danielle Joliff and Alison Yutzy in leading up the planning!
