The Lakeview Athletic Boosters and the North East Ohio Trail Club will sponsor the fifth annual Dirty Dog 10K Trail Run on February 6th, 2010. The race is an Off-Road 10K on trails through the woods along the shores of Mosquito Lake. This event has minimum pavement and will be an excellent introduction for those venturing off road for the first time as well as for seasoned vets looking for a fun, but still challenging race. The entry form and course map are available at www.NEOTrail.org. The race is a benefit for the Lakeview Athletic Boosters. All pre-registered runners are entered into a random drawing for prizes. People who are interested in more information on the race may contact Jim Harris at 330 dash 638 dash 0814. The race will begin at 9:00 AM with registration starting at 8:00 AM. The entry fee is $11 for pre-registered runners and $16 for the day of the race. There is a $2 dollar discount for all students who participate in the run. The race location is the parking lot by the cemetery on the east side of Mosquito Lake at the intersection of Main Street and McCleary-Jacoby Road. The first 100 registered runners will receive a pair of fleece gloves with the DD10K logo embroidered on the gloves. The North East Ohio Trail Club will coordinate the event and provide timing for the race. NEO Trail was formed to bring more trail events to northeast Ohio and membership applications will be available during pre-registration and also after the run.

Of course, I am in as usual. It is actually sort of out there by me! As tradition, breakfast in Parkman afterwards for whoever wants to join us at Posthouse (right on 422 by 528/88 which is on the way for most people)!

Good way to kick off Superbowl Sunday, eh...
I'll probably do it... to see if I can beat Janet this year - she caught me with 0.2 miles to go last year. That was the toughest run I've probably ever done...

Sounds awful. I'll do it. I need something to get me motivated so this hopefully will do the trick.

Janet need to get details about the breakfast from you - think we had an Armish sandwhich last year, which was enough food for a week.
