Matt, I thought that was very interesting. I have a question for you... Near the end of the blog he lists examples of "exercises to develop the posterior chain," such as squats, deadlifts, Olympic lifts, good mornings, push presses, dumbell snaches and cleans, glute ham raises, and box jumps. Anyhow, do you know of a good web site that would "illustrate" how to do these? (the only two I already know are squats and box jumps.) In the link to his training blog (which I clicked on) he tells how many sets, reps, and so on, but I'd like to know how to do some of these things. It sounds like something I need! thanks for any info, Kim

Thanks Matt! I've never been on the crossfit web site. Looks like I have lots to check out there. Kim

Better yet Kim come to the Crossfit gym downtown and check out some workouts. Since my knee has been bad I have been doing it there and it is some of the most intense workouts I have ever done. Kind of like back to football practice but harder. Good news is they tailor the workout to your ability and fitness level. Today was the Filthy Fifty which consists of 50 box jumps, 50 jumping pullups, 50 Kettlebell swings, 50 Walking lunges, 50 knee to elbows (hanging from pullup bar), 50 Push press, 50 back extensions, 50 Wall balls (squat w medicine ball then explode up and throw ball to mark 10' high on wall, 50 burpees (my personal nightmare), and 50 double unders w jump rope. I am still trying to figure a Saturday to have a day there for the club to let whoever wants to do so check it out. It is free on Saturday anyway but I thought if a bunch of us were there it would be fun. Maybe do something afterwards as a group. www.crossfitcle.com
