So....not really posting this as a race recap but more of a heads up...this is a great event!! This is the 2nd year I've participated in the 20K but there is a 5K, 10K, 20K, 40K, and 60K. It's in beautiful Hocking Hills where the terrain creates a very tough course! I decided this year to make a weekend of it and hiked, kayaked and got in a little bit of biking. I would've liked to have biked more but ran out of time....the hills kick butt! I encourage everyone to look into this event. It's pretty cheap ($25) and the people are all very nice!

I've hiked with the family there, great place, rocks, cliffs, waterfalls. 20K is a great distance for me, too bad it's so far away, a little over 3 hours. Is it run like a normal race, everyone doing the same distance starts together? I'll be in the area in 2 weeks camping with the mountain bike club. All are welcome. www.camba.us/pn/index.php?name=News&file=article&sid=1707

Chuck- Those doing 40/60K start with their group. The 20K start anytime between 9-11am. We checked in with a human timer but also had a chip on (I'm assuming for the finish time). It is a little ways away but there's plenty of fairly reasonable lodging and lots to do! It's definitely a fun training race and enjoyable as something different from the roads. Just an fyi for when you are there in 2 weeks that supposedly the course is always marked. There are wooden posts that say 20km but they also had orange arrows spray painted on the trails/roads and orange strings hanging on the trees. Have fun!

That does sound like fun! good to know about the course being marked... I'm going in October and maybe I'll enjoy a nice run while I'm there!
