The Inaugural North Shore Border War will take place at beautiful Geneva State Park next Sunday, September 20th. The event plans to clash Northeast Ohio Triathlon Clubs & Teams vs. the best from Western PA. Information can be found here www.champracing.org/Champ could use some volunteers and they do offer race vouchers and stuff like that for helpers. Contact Gregg at raceyah@champracing.org if you are interested. Currently they have 60+ signed-up and most are from PA!!! It would be great if we could get some more Ohio people out there to represent. I will be out there getting in my last tri for the season!

Didn't know about this race... I've got a huge training weekend coming up. After destroying myself last weekend, I don't think adding a race to my insanity would be smart. See... this is why we shouldn't do long course. Marathon training is getting in the way of fun stuff like RACING !!

Club gear is not necessary just your home address being in the state of Ohio!

Mark-I hear what you are saying but wait till you cross the finish line at the marathon-there's nothing like it!
I am trying to decide what to do this weekend too...

Tiffany - I'm doing the Niagra Falls marathon on October 25th (10 am start time... YES!). I had no ambitions to ever do one of these, but, I made a deal with the devil (i.e. Doren), so I'm committed to try and qualify for Boston. I'm also doing the Arizona Half Marathon in Phoenix in January (one of the Rock 'n Roll series races).

Yesterday CTC Members had a nice showing out at Geneva. The morning was a bit brisk and most of us had some cold numb feet after the bike, yet Ohio and CTC represented out there and took home the Border War Men's and Women's Team Trophies! i171.photobucket.com/albums/u293/DaisyDuc_photos/photo.jpgThis was a nice fast course and venue for the race. This is definitely a great race to consider for next year!
